A Farewell from Our Outgoing President and CEO, Carol Bellringer

My time as the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation’s President and CEO has come to an end. I want to express my sincere appreciation to all of you for your steadfast support of public accountability. While we all have a role to support public accountability, the power of our success comes from the people – working together, believing in each other, and helping each other to succeed. I will miss you all.

Nairobi School Visit

As Auditor General of Manitoba, I visited Kenya with the CAAF in 2009 when my office was twinned with the Office of the Auditor General of Kenya through the Foundation’s international program. This warm reception at a school outside of Nairobi was a life-changing experience.

Your work at the CAAF, as public sector auditors, and on oversight bodies, inspires me every day. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside you at the CAAF and in my previous roles. Together, you make our country and our world a stronger place for all of us.

I step away from the CAAF full of hope for the future – for the organization and for those we serve. The staff, associates, and board of CAAF are continuing a long tradition of great work. I am proud to have been a part of it – and am confident that I am followed by a strong leader, Paul Forgues, who will build on that tradition as the CAAF’s President and CEO.

Best, Carol

Carol Bellringer was the President and CEO of the CAAF from September 2020 to March 2023.
