In the CAAF Fellowships, participants from our partner supreme audit institutions (SAIs) learn from Canadian auditors, and develop the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to become leaders in their SAIs’ performance audit departments. They observe and contribute to the work of a Canadian legislative audit office, while also developing an audit plan or special project that they will implement in their own office. The Fellowships are a key part of our international program, in which CAAF and our Canadian partners are helping to advance performance auditing in the participating countries.
This year’s Fellowships were the first to take a hybrid approach, in which the Fellows completed some activities virtually before coming to Canada. Starting in November 2021, the Fellows participated in virtual courses, a book club, and meetings with mentors from CAAF and their partner Canadian audit office, and worked on their special project. From May to August 2022, the Fellows came to Canada, where they completed a placement at their partner audit office, met with several other audit offices and institutions, and finished developing their special project.
Congratulations to the 2021-2022 graduate Fellows!
We are sure they will make a positive impact for their SAIs and their countries.
